Dr. Stephan Ochsner, LL.M.
Dr. Stephan Ochsner is admitted to the bar in Switzerland and Liechtenstein and has an additional education (LL.M.) in international business law. He has also completed successfully the Advanced Management Program (AMP) at the Harvard Business School.
Supervisory experience
Dr. Stephan Ochsner was Head of the Liechtenstein Due Diligence Office from 2002 to 2004, reporting directly to the Head of Government. The Due Diligence Unit was integrated into the newly created Financial Market Authority (FMA) at the end of 2004, where Dr. Stephan Ochsner was CEO from 2005 to the end of January 2008. During this time, he also acted as an expert in country assessments of the FATF (Russia) and the Council of Europe (Albania, Cyprus) and he participated as a trainer in events of the International Monetary Fund and the Council of Europe. In Switzerland, he was Chairman of the Supervisory Commission of the VQF (Financial Services Standards Association) self-regulatory organisation from 2014 to 2019. Since 2017, Dr. Stephan Ochsner has also been managing director of the Association of Independent Asset Managers in Liechtenstein and since 2019 an investigator for the Liechtenstein Chamber of Trustees.
Business experience
Dr. Stephan Ochsner has business experience through numerous executive (2008 to January 2013) and board of directors functions (2008 to May 2014) with Kaiser Partner Group companies in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. From 1996 to 2002 he was also responsible for Legal & Compliance at two Swiss banks.
